Looking for "Christmas Always Comes at Night"

I am looking for a beautiful poem called "Christmas Always Comes at Night" which I believe was written by a World War I soldier on Christmas Eve. The poem was read anually at Christmas Eve service at my church. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
