I once memorized and love this poem. Now I can't find it anywhere. Some of the final lines are similar to the following.

"He traveled down the dreary days, his spirit grew robust,

He knew no more that he was poor, nor that that his frame was dust.

-------------------------And this bequest of wings, was just a book, what liberty a loosened spirit brings.
