Response to Previous tenant's debts (append)

You are not responsible for these debts. This happened to me many years ago. Telephone the number given on the Distraint notices and tell them that the debtor has moved away and you don't know where. Then write to them by recorded delivery. Once you have told them, it is unlikely that they will break in and take your stuff. It would be a criminal offence.
