On March 19th 2000 there was an article in the News of the World all about lenders trying to get shortfalls back and especially rushing out letters just before the 11/2/00 deadline (this is where I heard of Carol Riley and this excellent site)(posted 8539 days ago)As things are not getting any better and in mine and many other cases the companies are using letters sent to addresses where we did not live as their 'proof' of contact, I have written to the editor of the article to request that a follow up is run. The more people who do this the more chance. I beleive that now is a really good time as things are in the forefront (EDM, Lords appeal etc) and I understand that there is an article all about mortgage arrears and endowments being run tomorrow (3/12).
