solicitors letter after 10 years

I have just recieved a letter from Hammond Suddards Edge saying that they are acting as agents for Bradford and Bingley. The letter says: "Some details are required to be completed in respect of the property. Please contact this office within 7 days to discuss the matter." I gave up possesion of my house 10 years ago despite having several "mature" conversations about options to avoid the situation, after falling into arrears. They ignored my suggestions and I decided to leave the house, returning the keys and went to University as a mature student. I now have a new life, mortgage as well, and have had this contact letter out of the blue. Should I respond, seek legal advice, ignore it? Any suggestions or help would be gratefully recieved. Is my new home at risk?
