I have received a letter from Hammond Suddard Edge demanding £32k in shortfall debt. In total I have received 4 letters from them. This time they are threatening bankruptcy. In the past I have not responded to any of the letters, but now I need to do something. I am very worried. The lender is Britannia Building Society.(posted 8258 days ago)I gave the keys to a property back in 1989/90/91 and have not heard anything until last year. I have no details about the property, when sold, how much etc. When I gave the keys back I left a forwarding address. I was told that handing back the keys would be the end of it.
It has taken me 8 years to get my life together again and now these bastards want to take it away again. They know I have a property with equity.
Please, please advise me on the best course of action.
