Response to Allocation Questionnaire Stage what happens next

from Too scared to say (iwasduped@yahoo.com)
I do hope that you used a false name on here. Whilst the little bits and pieces in your home will generally be left alone (unless you have a kick-arse stereo system, 50" screen TV, DVD etc worth thousands) the court will take a very dim view of what you did. The book value of larger assets they know/knew about will be highlighted and you may/will now have to pay that amount into the OR by way of satisfaction. The transfer of title to your house for significantly less than market value/nothing once proceedings have started is illegal and you can be prosecuted. You would have to have done this through a solicitor anyway (which is unlikely to have happened openly as they would know the Law in these circumstances) and such a transaction could be overturned in a blink. They may allow you to keep your house anyway...charges can always be removed. In other words, you cut your nose off to spite your face. It rankles to your very core when this happens, I know, but in the long run it's not worth it, you'll end up paying anyway. Best of luck.
