Response to bbc - mortgage shortfalls

from Tony Hayter (Tony@Hayter.com)
The BBC's reporter visited me at my home this week and showed 'extreme interest' in all the documented evidence of under- selling and negligence by the Halifax that I provided him with along with my audio recording.

If the Halifax in fact do come on the program I bet that they hide behind their "We can't comment on individual cases" PR phrase! Just like they avoided comment when the assistant manager of one of their branches was recently found to have sold a repossessed house to his uncle for £20,000 below market price and then bought it back from his uncle the very same day for himself and his family to move into.

The general public are beginning to find out just what the Halifax bank is really like. Their dirty washing is not just being hung out on flipcharts (The "Customer's we don't want" incident) for all to see. The media in general are taking a heightened interest in the Halifax's suspect ways and now is a great time for the Halifax's victims to fight back.

Halifax - You've been given every opportunity to act decently. Well, we will see in the days ahead whether in fact you do so!
