Refusal to answer valid questions. Halifax

from k Carr (karencarr2000@yahoo.co.uk)
I have had my house repossessed by the Halifax and they refuse to answer my questions. When it was repossessed I had the house on the market for offers over £25,000. It was valued by a chartered surveyor with branches in the local area. The Halifax repossessed it and had Colleys (a division of Halifax) value the house. Astoundingly they valued it at about £15,000. Strange don’t you think. This person is a chartered surveyor also but works in the city centre and compared it to houses of a completely different nature. Mine was a two bedroomed semi bungalow these were former pit cottages which are now own predominately owned by private landlords. Very cheap to buy. Some you can pick up for as little as £5,000. When I questioned them they refused to explain why they had valued it at such a price. I contacted the original surveyor whom marketed the property and he said he would be more than happy to discuss with the Halifax. They declined to discuss it with him.

Any advice. They sold the house for £17,000 the original offer I received from the same person was £19,000. Strange don’t you think.
