Amanda,(posted 7802 days ago)Sorry to hear how things have gone. It may be that bankruptcy is your better option. I have also heard that a bankrupt may, in the future, get discharged quicker if the debt was due to 'unfortunate circumstances' under the new Enterprise Bill, which I believe will come into force in 2004, see 'http://www.legislation.hmso.gov.uk/acts/acts2002/20020040.htm It's certainly a point to take up with a solicitor/bankruptcy specialist.
