Council of Mortgage Lenders members not adhereing to their own recommendations(the 6 years period)

My house was repossessed in 1993, but now I am being taken to Court for the shortfall and interest,(first contact letter from claimant was 1st June 2000), does anybody know of a good Solicitor who will fight my case in Court? Hope someone out there can help!!
