The only expensive bit is the enlarger and lens. You can buy a decent second-hand enlarger for about #200 (UK pounds), and lens about #100. Then you need dishes, safelight, scissors, stopwatch/clock, thermometer, and consumables such as paper and chemicals, total say another #100. Then, of course, you also need a dark room.
