Response to development time for HP5+ at ASA 200

from ann clancy (aclancy@mediaone.com)
+My students have been using HP5+ with HC110 solution B at 68 degrees 5 minutes as recommended by Ilford with great results. You may need to adjust the time per your working stype, enlarger, paper, etc. but try that and then see how you like the results. I encourage all my students to shoot at half the recommended ISO no matter what the film type (negative film that is)then check the results, i always have 1 or 2 out of a group of 20 that will need to change back to 400 . Most love the results they are getting by adding that extra stop.
