Konica IR , no filter as a portrait film?

I was wondering, as I`ve got around 30 rolls, if anyone has used the Konica 750 as a BW film (no filter) for people, portrait shots?I`ve just started experimenting @ISO 50 ,using 1/30 -1/60 5.6 outside with fair results devoloping in straight Xtol for 9 min. If you can give me any advise even on using with filters ,I would appreciate it alot.I`m already quite familiar with HIE (and love that film) Thanks
