Response to Fuji Acros film

Fuji Acros does have very fine grain. However, it competes more with TMX that with TP. The grain size and pattern is very similar to TMX. In fact, I would go so far as to say they are effectively equal in terms of grain and sharpness. Tonally, I'd give the nod to TMX in midrange values. Acros has better separation on the shoulder and perhaps slightly more separation on the toe. The fact is, though, these films are *very* closely matched, which is to say, they look a lot more alike than different.
