Response to pushing kodak or pushing illford hp5+ one stop...Which gives better results?

In my experience, Tri-X pushes one stop better than HP5+ when
processed in D-76 straight . That said, I hope somebody proves
me wrong. I otherwise prefer HP5+ and would love to know a
good dev for pushing it.
