Nominal rating of Kodak/Ilford B&W 3200 film

Kodak T-max 3200 (TMZ) has a nominal rating of 1000ASA and i've read similar c1600ASA for Ilford Delta 3200. My question is related to x-ray machines for Eurostar services. The staff there say that these machines will not damage film upto 3200ASA. Would these films, rated by their manufacturers as 3200ASA, pass through undamaged? Thanks in advance Andrew
