Response to Best Ratios using Dektol when developing ILFORD films

Joe, why do you want to use Dektol for film? It's likely to produce very grainy image with decreased speed even if you dilute it a lot.

There was Ilford Universal PQ developer, which I think is ID-62. Grainy speed losing film developer, and average print developer. ID-62 is not dissimilar from Dektol except it uses phenidone. With ID-62, 1+19 was suggested for FP4 for 10min at 20C.
