greenspun.com : LUSENET : Government & Military Y2K Planning & Implementation : Policy
The Government & Military Y2K Planning & Implementation Forum is provided as a free service for confidential communications between those VIPs needing a means to exchange ideas and discuss strategies for Y2K disruptions into the new year and beyond. This is a private forum exclusive to government officials and military personnel ONLY involved in Y2K planning and policy implementataion. Pre-qualified participants shall be emailed a new password every Sunday evening by the web master. Please delete the message upon receipt for security reasons. You will notice that this forum software has an option to add your email address for an 'email alert'. Please DO NOT use this feature. The web master shall delete email alerts daily. To read the postings, you must provide the weeks password to enter and read the posts within, contribute or ask a question. I'm certain you'll agree with the policy not to allow messages to forwarded or copied to another's in-box or make their way onto numerous email lists. What exchange happens here, STAYS HERE, period. Participants may elect to participate incognito or choose to make their identity known but please be assured that other than the web master, ALL participants are government officials or military personnel involved in Y2K issues. You may nominate a new member by requesting they be added to the email master list, but they must be recognized by email address to be originating from a government or military institution. The integrity of the forum as a secure locale to facilitate Y2K planning and the imlementation of ideas are of the utmost priority. Great cautions shall be taken at ALL TIMES by the web master and participants to maintain the security and confidentiality of EVERYONE involved. Thank you and I hope you will find this service of value in your efforts. Many depend on your decisions and actions in the new millennium. Gary Allan Halonen

How this System Works

This bboard software was written by Philip Greenspun and hosted for free by him started in 1995. Anyone could come in and create a forum and moderate the discussion. Most of the thousands of forums on this server were and are publicly searchable by Google and other Web indices.
