About the Nutshell Forum

Welcome to the forum for Bounded in a Nutshell!

I plan for this forum to host discussion about topics raised in the journal and raised by the journal's readers. In other words, if you want to comment on something I wrote, please do, and if you want to start a discussion of your own, please do that, too. Keep in mind, though, that I may pull down discussions (stick them on the "uninteresting" page) that wander too far afield or simply don't generate much traffic. Let's keep it lively, but let's keep it fair to newbies who may jump in and can't immediately figure out why everyone's talking about something entirely off-topic.

No flaming, please. If you have a problem with another forum-goer, take it outside. Try not to take things so seriously as to inspire flames, too: it's just a forum, right?

Them's the rules. Everything else (profanity, blasphemy, silliness) goes. Let's have fun!

How this System Works

This bboard software was written by Philip Greenspun and hosted for free by him started in 1995. Anyone could come in and create a forum and moderate the discussion. Most of the thousands of forums on this server were and are publicly searchable by Google and other Web indices.
