Under Exposed

from Michael D Fraser (mdfraser@earthlink.net)
Jim: Why use tools that are not suited to the purpose at hand! Incident meters and grey cards are great for color where you can accomodate a subject brightness range of only about 5-7 zones and little, if any, manipulation of development time. But....you're shooting B&W which offers almost limitless creative manipulation. A spot meter is an absolute must (no matter what Phil Davis says.) If you're buying a new Pentax meter, Calumet has the Zone VI modded meter for only about $50 more than a stock one. If you want I will be happy to fax you the C&D article I mentioned before.
