I've used TX in Xtol a few times. Processing in 1+1 dilute Xtol at 70F in a small tank at the Kodak suggested times gave me easily printable negs that were a little on the contrasty side for a condenstor enlarger. Since I haven't used TX in HC-110 for a long time, it is hard to compare, but I suspect the film speed was slightly greater, and I know the perceived grain was finer with good sharpness.

TX pushed one stop in Xtol looked really nice, too.

Clearly, TX in Xtol doesn't suck, it is a combination worth trying out ;-)
