Response to TMZ 3200 and HC-110 (dil B) - Trouble with film speed?

All films must be tested! I rate TMZ at 1600. The lower the speed,
the better the shadow detail. In general, I find that the
manufacturer's speed ratings are fantasy: if I want good shadow
detail, I expose at 1/4 the rated speed and pull the development.
That seems about right for the kind of negatives I like.
