Clones are bad.(posted 9343 days ago)I think the percentage scoring is needed, because it is a fairer indication of skill at the majority of games than the medal system. I also believe the percentage scoring would be an incentive for people to play "older" MAME entries rather than focusing on the "beta gold rush".
I'd set it up as an additive score, instead of the average score per game like the experimental is now. I don't see the point in punishing people for taking chances - it's embarrassing enough having a score reduced to 5% of the high already, and the leaderboard will become more accurate with time as the leader of each game improves to push the others down.
