old negatives - rewashing

I received several boxes of old 35mm strip b/w negatives (approx 10 - 15 years old). When originally processed the fixer was not completely washed off. What can I do to save the negatives now ??

Any recommendations for best way to handle the negatives now? Reduce amount of chemical fixer remaining on film ?
