XP2 Super rewind

Odd problem. Two recent rolls of XP2 Super (36 exp) have refused to rewind all the way into the cassette; either the film is detaching from the spool, or there is simply too much film for it all to fit into the cassette. The film base does appear to be either thicker or else less flexible than film from Brand K and Brand F, though I haven't dug out the data sheets to check. Cameras involved are a Nikon FA and a Minolta CLE, but I'm not experiencing problems with other films. Has this happened to anyone else?
