Response to HP5+, Perceptol and acutance

I worked as a newspaper photographer for several years. In that time I must have processed a mile of film. (a 100 foot can of HP5 would last about 2 weeks.) I relied on Perceptol, but I used it at the 1:3 dilution. (There really was NO money in photography where I was). I came to trust it implicitly. I've been away from that for about 15 years, but last week I dug the stuff out and ran a roll of 120 HP5, I couldn't have been happier with the results. Perceptol gave me the most consistant results of any developer I tried.
