Response to Splotches on Infrared 5x4 film

If it was a holder problem it would be uniform. IR is very sensitive
to light and it wouldn't be splotchy it would be completely white(or
black on the neg). When IR isn't processed correctly it gets this
mottled appearance. It looks suspiciously like improper agitation. Or
possibly chemical fogging but that would also be uniform. james
