There is no problem with developing Tri-X in T-Max developer, however, after 40 years in photography, and rejecting Tri-X as being too grainy and totally antiquated, I just recently started using it with Kodak XTOL and Ilford DD-X (liquid concentrate) developers, and I've gained a new respect for Tri-X as a truly fine grain film with an awesome tonal scale, and now use it as my primary "do-anything, go- anywhere" film. Try either of these developers with Tri-X, please. If you don't like it, no problem.(posted 8564 days ago)
