I had excellent luck with Tri-X pushing 3 stops because I was on a shoot and used up all my 3200 speed film. This was a dance rehearsal at the Kennedy Center in DC. I was using available light and a strobe would have ruined the shots. I used TMAX developer for the push processing (per Kodak's recommendations) because it was supposed to be kinder for push processing than Xtol. I also pushed Tmx400 3 stops and of the two, Tri-X did better (grain, grays) than the Tmx. Some of these were enlarged to 20x30 and are quite acceptable images. If you want all the gruesome details of processing, please advise.(posted 8296 days ago)I use Jobo CPE-2 for all processing of 35mm and med format. Have done up to 3 rolls at a time.
Sorry if this is off the subject of your original question a bit but...
