Developing pictures onto glass

Hi, I'm so very new to this board and I hope someone can assist. I'm a glass artist who fuses glass by using a kiln. Creating glass art is my passion with photography as my 2nd creative passion. Now, I'm wanting to combine the both by wanting to develop my photos onto my glass art. I have my crude darkroom equipment, however, I haven't found the right technique to develop the pictures onto the glass. My most recent experiments have resulted in the emulsion being too thick to spread smoothly on the glass and peeling. What would you suggest? Thanks, Licha
