I sure wouldn't use Rodinal to push Tri-X, unless you are seeking large grain. I'm not familiar with Microphen, but perhaps John Hicks will answer that part. Long ago I used Acufine to push Tri-X to 800 with excellent results--grain was apparent, but acutance was high as well.(posted 8053 days ago)
