Too many fontin' emcees: Contemporary Urban Poetry (CUP)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Hip-Hop : One Thread

Most of these contemporaray artists don't understand the true meaning of art. Art is an expresion of the heart. Ask them to freestyle, they start to fall apart. The styles that thy bring usually aint worth a fart. Real talent would permit any "rapper" to understand the true meaning of Hip-Hop without shouting how "REAL" they are - that's as useful as flip-flops. I stop at this juncture to blow out myths - like a puncture. Rap should be a chariot on which the whole Hip-Hop nation rides. Not a band-wagon to talk shit about East or West sides. As a black youth, I understand this premise. Try hard to maintain without falling off this precipice. I hope y'all understand my point of view. And now you know it; Can respect my position as a Contemporary Urban Poet.

Peace...

My CUP overfloweth...
