I want to hear any opinions on Helmut Newton. Fashion Photographer, seems to specialize in female nudes put into scenes he composes himself, seems to use anything at his disposal. Worked for fashion photography a long time, gave it up, hated the restraints. Im just curious. It's a very personal choice, but I believe him to be a great photographer. That can be misunderstood. Hes said of himself that hes a voyeur who uses that perspective through his camera. Slick Hasselblad. Any thoughts, opinions? Any pictures youve seen that you could tell me about? My exposure has been very limited so far.

He has now stopped doing nude photography I beleive.

Since your post was from Ontario I suggest you try to to find a copy of the Originals program on Helmut. It was made by Moses Zniamer the guy who owns City TV and Much Music.

I think Helmut Newton is a God. I think that he openly expresses what many photographers actually are, voyeurs.
