Non-glossy fiber paper?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Black_and_White_Photography : One Thread

I've been using RC paper (Ilford MG) for years, mainly Pearl and Satin. I've also tried some fiber paper recently and I'm somehow satisfied with it, but I'm not really fond of Glossy and Matt paper, and unfortunately those are the only kinds of fiber paper that Ilford offers. So, my question to you all is: is there some fiber paper out there that is neither glossy nor Matt? It doesn't necessarily have to be Pearl or something as nice as that; just something different. And it doesn't have to be Ilford either. Thanks.

Have you tried Agfa's multicontrast fiber papers? They have a surface designated 118 that has a surface somewhat similar to Ilford's pearl. Used in Dektol it's a fairly cold tone paper with good blacks. Good Luck.

Have you tried Luminos Tapestry and/or Charcoal papers? They are both fiber-based, and resemble the textures of artist canvas and drawing paper, respectively.
