I am re-entering the world of doing my own B&W printing after a long absence. I want to purchase good quality equiptment for my soon to be dark room. I talked to a person who has an Omega D5500 dichoric enlarger for sale that uses a quartz lamp. It comes with the base board, 3 turret lens holder and a neg carrier and analyzer for $1200.00. I have read everything in this and other forums that pertain to enlargers including the FAQs. My question before I drive 95 miles for it is this: What could possibly be wrong with this enlarger and is there anything I should look for or check out before I hand over the money? Any help from people that are experienced with this enlarger will be appreceiated.
