This is just to get things going...I think we should probably discuss the idea of conferences in depth, since they are extraordinarily time consuming to produce and also take away from teaching. We can throw around ideas and discuss issues here.

I think the conference will be meaningful if it is accompanied by starting a China National Highschool Webpage, which could contain links and contributions from all the CETI schools. However, this also requires time and extensive cooperation between different CETI teams. However, I think it is an exciting option to pursue. We could also ask our own highschool students to contribute to the page, and let them know that they are doing something that is particularly meaningful. Then, the conference could be an opening ceremony of this website, which I believe could draw a lot of crowds from Chinese Educational and Computational Circles.
