greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

Looking for HO scale radio car as used in unit train service on Appalachia Division of Southern RR in 1970's era. If you know of one's availability, please let me know.

Dave--a few years ago overland rnad a brass version but there is somehting incorrect about the roof. They might still have some or you may have to shcek with some of the brass dealers. Caboose Hobbies and the Caboose both have web pages--Check the NMRA master site for theirs. I have it on our Links page. Also, Jim King of Smokey Mountain Model Works completed the masters for a resin kit but didn't release it partially due to Overland's release and partially because there was much demand then. We've been trying to get him to go ahead and finfish the job. Contact him with your vote at jking@ioa.com . Good luck and come back to visit--Larry

I accidently found a website www.wrighttrak.com. They have produced a resin kit of the radio car. Also according to the site they have/will produce SR bay window cabooses as well as two styles of C of G cabooses. Dale Koglin
