I saw this book at Borders today for about $14 and resisted the temptation of buying it because I have enough on my plate right now. I'll probably buy it within a few weeks, unless a lot of you ding! it. So if you read it, how did or didn't it meet your expectations? BTW, seems like more and more books on Titanic are being written. Borders has one of the best selections I've seen.

Bob G, I bought it here in Canada and it took me an entire afternoon to read it. I never let go until I was done. It's a collector's must and I highly recommend it. Anyway, you have a month to return it if you don't like it, although there's lots of interesting stuff to read. You can always claim that you received it as a gift in order to return it. But I'm sure you will appreciate it.

Thanks, double Dan. I just finished the book, and recommend it to y'all who haven't read it. It got most interesting for me toward the end, especially with regard to the test screenings. Gosh, the work that went into this movie. That Cameron is one dedicated dude, and a major perfectionist. He is such a hands-on director. I did learn a lot, including details of the hostilities between the crew and him during the shoot (which were inevitable), that C. Dion and J. Horner did a surprise demo of MHWGO for Cameron, that he edited 12 DAYS worth of film! What I got most out of this book is a sense of respect for anyone who has a vision and is killing him/herself and others to realize it.

I just read this book and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The details and the story of this man's incredible vision had me enthralled. I can recommend it to enyone.
