greenspun.com : LUSENET : Transit First San Francisco : One Thread

AT 5:00 I GET TO EMBARCADERO STATION HOPING TO GET HOME AT LEAST IN A HOUR. THAT IS ONLY A FANTASY. IT SEEMS LIKE AFTER FIVE THERE IS ONE OR TWO J TRAINS EVERY 20MIN. AND YES THEY ARE ALWAYS PACKED TO THE BRIM.MUNI UNDERGROUND NEEDS 1# ATTENTION. THAT SHOULD BE DA MAYORS PRIORITY. THE PEOPLE OF SF RUN THE CITY BUT WHO IS RUNNING MUNI?

What delicious irony, this is the reverse of the normal `Where are the N's' complaint. You have a gamble here...if you must have a J (rather than BART, 14, 24, 26) and the J's are arriving at Embarcadero packed, take any train to (say) Powell, cross the platform, board the J before it gets packed, OR take an N to Church St, and catch a pull-in N that turns right from Duboce to Church and is in service on the J-line from there, if there are none of these, hop on a 22 to Valencia for a 26.
