TITANIC TO STAR IN DISCOVERY SPECIAL (TV)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread

In a unique effort to use television not only as an educational medium but also as an effective commercial tool to raise funds for scientific research, The Discovery Channel and RMS Titanic, Inc., the legal guardian of the ship's remains, will team to present Titanic Live, a 2-hour, sponsored telecast on Aug. 16 that will feature efforts by an international team of experts to photograph the decaying ship and to learn more about the cause of its deterioration. Also among the divers' assignments: the recovery of the original Marconi radio used to send out distress calls on the day of the tragedy. Employing a veritable fleet of minisubs equipped with TV cameras, the Discovery production will air in more than 100 countries and in numerous languages.

I wish I knew, Peter. I only reposted a little article from the web. That would be nice if they could bring up that piece from Titanic. We'll have to wait and see...
