What a jerk this Greg Wiatt is. I'll bet he used to sell used cars, or bridges over the grand canyon (he is from Arizona isn't he?). He sounds like the kind of guy who ruins a good business for the legitimate guy selling the same products.

I purposely went looking for a question posted by a Perma Pak person, other than Greg Wiatt, a distributor our of Arizona. I was wondering if they all sound as irritating as he does. I found that they don't. There were questions posted by a Mary Martel, of peace of mind essentials, another company member, that sound good. Another place was called Food Storage Solutions, they sounded good too. I guess this sounds a little like a vindetta, but I have been looking for a good company to buy some food from for several weeks now. From what I have learned, Perma Pak is one of the best. I thought their prices were a little high until I compared the quantity of food to other companies, and actually found it to be less expensive than many companies when compared that way. Anyhow, I got some information from "the biggest" Perma Pak distributor, but didn't like his attitude. I still may buy some Perma Pak, but not from him. His information sounds like he is at war with the other distributors in his own company, bragging about his better prices, running them down for not matching his pricing, as if that was the only thing that mattered. (not that it isn't important to me). I think he is unethical, even though his site seems to brag about his being a christian. Does a real christian downgrade fellow employees to elevate his own image?

I would say that for starters that I feel sad for some of the comments made in this forum..Critical of everything from misspelled words to vulgar language and threats. I would bet a dime to a dollar that a few of these comments are from a few other unhappy dealers of Perma Pak...who disagree with my discount pricing and selling my food at cost and sometimes even just plain giving it away as need be... One dealer in particular was asked by the owner of Perma Pak to stop copying and mirroring my website and information and to remove his site immediately as he never recieved permission for internet marketing. He threatened to sue them in a lawsuit. This forum is way out of hand at this point and its easy to see that these postings are being done by someone other than my hundreds and hundreds of my satisified customers who received the best food on the market at the best price and in the shortest period of time. I apologize to anyone I have unintentionally offended.

Greg,

Seeing as there seem to be no other dealers on this forum trying to take the business away from you, I fail to understand your accusation that the irritations expressed by other posters are your "competition" tyring to hinder you. I think you are selling a great product in a very irritating manner and are probably repulsing as many as you attract for purchase of your product. The post by Jose is correct, there are many other dealers of Perma Pak items (some having even more items to choose from in addition to Perma Pak as I found) that have web sites to visit, two of which Jose mentioned. I have seen the sites of both of these companies and they both seem to offer everything you do, and more, in a much less offensive manner. I do not disagree with the urgent need to get food supplies, but I, along with many others, are put off by your methods of attracting "buyers" and agree with Jose that even if I didn't already have my food storage in place I would choose not to deal with you for that very reason. To the rest of you, just leave poor Greg alone. He's only trying to make money (I know he is) and help people prepare in the best way that he knows how. I guess y'all can be glad you don't have to live with someone that irritating!!!

Some interesting insight on this Greg Wiatt fellow. I called Perma-pak to verify some of his claims and this is what I found out:

Mr. Wiatt is NOT Perma-pak's #1 Dealer! The company does not rate one dealer as being better than another. Mr. Wiatt has only worked with the company for about 3 months - apparently jumping on the "patriots for profit / Y2K" bandwagon.

He appears to be giving the impression that he is "The" Perma-pak person. He is not authorized to be using their trademarked name in e-mail and his web site. The company does not seem to support his tactics of cutting down their other dealers either.

He implies that Perma-Pak is listed on the stock exchange when in fact it is one of their suppliers who is listed - Perma-Pak is a privately held company.

I understand that some law suits and a possible class action suit are in the works. If any of you have had any bad experiences with Mr. Wiatt I would encourage you to make them known in this forum or contact Perma-Pak directly at 801-268-3913. They can also refer you to a more reputable dealer. Several of their distributors have been with the company for more than 7 years and know far more than Mr. Wiatt about what your family may need.

If the company doesn't cut off Mr. Wiatt and his wild claims, he may provide his own demise with his marketing/car salesman tactics and claims.

By the way, I am not a Perma-pak dealer or rep and have nothing to gain or lose if you buy any food for your family. I have Perma-Pak because I love thier quality and value. I did not purchase it from MR. Waitt. My food also is a considerably different package than Mr. Wiatt is selling - apparently a reflection of his "discount" pricing.

I'd rather have the food my family really uses and needs rather than to open up boxes of junk I got on sale that will feed half of us and that tastes like crap because it's food we don't like.

I called Perma Pak several weeks ago and they told me a story that was quite different from your somewhat hostile claims. I ordered several units from him and so far he did everything that he has posted on this forum. He is to be commended for not only running a first class company but being an honest and caring person. What was the persons name at Perma Pak with whom you spoke?
