The screen shots at http://www.hardlink.com/~kanjican/chirp.htm show an example story; does that story come with the software? Or is that an example of a story a user might think up and type in? How many stories are included? (Heisig's text contains about 500.)

The stories are provided with the software. All told, there are 2048 for the full kanji, plus stories for each of the primitives.
