Using lenses with f22 on T3

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

I presently possess 2 Autoreflex T3s, FS-1 and FT-1 Konica slrs. I also have several Hexanon lenses, one of them being the "pancake" 40mm f1.8 lens (an extremely sharp lens, as I've discovered). I also have in my possession the Hexanon Macro 55mm f3.5 lens. Both of these lenses are made to stop down to f22, when needed. It seems to me that they came after the T3s were made. My question is, can a T3 stop down to f22, when using one of these lenses or any other lenses that have a f22 notch on the lens barrel? Or will a T3 stop down only to f16? I'm quite sure the FS-1 and FT-1 will stop down lenses to f22, but will this happen with a T3 camera? Can anyone out there give me an answer to this question? Thanks in advance, if you can.

F22 on T3

George, the 40mm/f1.8 came after the T3 but the 55mm/f3.5 was already in production. The T3 body will close the 40 to f22 and in addition will take the 55mm/f3.5 to f22. It will also close the macro lens to f32 with the use of the 1X adapter tube which goes between the camera body and the lens for 1:1 or life size shots. The lens when used without the tube/adaptor is only 1:1.5 or 1/2 life size. Hope this helps.

f22 on T3

George, as a postscript e-mail me directly if you plan to use the 55mm macro at f22 and f32. There are a couple of things you have to do and I will send you the info from the Konica Autoreflex Manual 2nd. Edition of 1972/1974. This is a great lens and I have used it a lot for Arctic Wildflower photos.
