list of guaranteed certified compliant???

After trying to comvince the skeptical by things like 'not one Fortune 500, not one of 7800 utilities, not one of 11,000 banks etc.' does anyone know if there is a place where there is certification of compliancy? Has any company, utility, or bank made it yet, I mean really made it not just planned or promised?

I am not aware of a single one that has been certified by an independent auditor as being fully compliant.

This is about as close as it gets. It should do for your purposes, Julienne.

Buddy, short of sequentially trying to run down the Y2K compliance status of each and every org on that web site, and then trying to figure out if the legalistic fluff cited constitutes Y2K compliance, is there an easier way to determine if one bank or one electric utility claims to be 100%, honest-to-goodness, you-can-bank-on-it, Y2K compliant?? I can't get much out of that web site....

No there isn't Joe, at least I haven't found anything yet. I guess what I was trying to say was that if Julienne wants to convince a skeptic, then that web site is a good place to start. I haven't read a statement there yet that wasn't basically saying "We're working on it." Since she is trying to show someone that not one company has claimed they are ready I thought that was a good place to go to prove it.

And as they said in Old Rome:
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Who watches the watchers?

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification.
