Hi Terri,

Yes , Veneration would be allowed after Mass. You can't have the Blessed Sacrament exposed during Mass but after Mass is great. In many religious houses it is now a custom to relpace the host that is in the monstrance with one consecrated at Mass that day. To draw attention that it is the same Christ made present at the Mass that we Venerate.

I would hope that a statue of the patron Saint of the Church is somewhere in sight. If only to remind everyone under who's patronage the church is.

A Priest should not omit the homily it can be very short only a few lines but there should be a homily.

Let me make a correction. We Adore the Blessed Sacrament not venerate. We venerate things and people we Adore God.
