Ok, I am an "over the road" or "longhaul" truck driver. The problem with a lack of computers in my industry is the fact that most warehouses cannot recieve ANYTHING unless these systems are working. Likewise, they cannot ship ANYTHING without these same systems. Product/freight literally "does not exist" until it is logged into their computers. Now, Knowing this lets go further. An overwhelming number of industries have gone to J.I.T. (just in time) shipping/recieving. If a shipment is even a few hours late the plants shut down. I've seen it happen. Even coal deliveries to power plants are handled in this way. The reasoning was validated by the elimination of storage/warehousing costs.

Now, heres an insider tip. Take it as you will.

Spelled out, it means this: Computer failures + product shortages + driver/truck shortages + other factors = IF YOU AIN'T READY, GET READY QUICK!
