Grading Contract

Thank you for the clarification of the grading contract criteria. I was misunderstanding it, and was making it more complicated that it needed to be.

I would like to propose for the Jan. deadline, to do a (B) project which would be to present to an ECFE (Early Childhood and Family Education) group on an educational topic. I would like to present ways to provide children with experiences (direct or indirect) in order to build background knowledge, and why this is important to their childs education. I would like to have discussion time for parents to share ways that they already do this, and answer any questions they may have about what is taught at the K-1 levels. I would write a 2-3 page paper with summary and insights regarding the project. I would like to an (A) project which would be to write an article for the Daily Journal discussing reasons to read to children, statistics regarding children who are read to, and helpful tips to work reading to children into a busy family schedule. For spring, I would like to do a (B) project which would be to read a book on emotional intelligence and write and/or report on it. For an (A) project I would like to attend and inservice and document what I learned from it. (Inservice topic undetermined as of this date.)
