Karen, OK, but I think you should do one additional project. The mentoring is great and carries through for the year, I see the journal article as a maybe, what journal, and what kind of article? You might need an additional project for spring, or you could wait and think of something later. This is a co-operative mentoring program through the city, school district, and the county. The training began on October 6, and will be continued on October 13, and October 27. Mentoring will be with a student from the senior class and will extend all year. "A" requirement will be fulfilled by publishing an article in a professional journal.

Revised Grade Proposal:

"B" requirement will be fulfilled by participating in the STRIVE mentoring program this year.

"A" requirements will be fulfilled by

: 1. Presenting the Responsive Classroom strategies and techniques to the Committee for Reducing Rural Violence and the staff at Holler Elementary School.

2. Organizing and participating in the Community Carnival project. This project brings together people of all ages from the community for an evening of fun and food.

3. Attending the Center for School Change Conference in February.

4. Writing an educational article in The Daily Journal during the month of May.
