Surely, with the advent of this Y2k problem the opportunity now exists for the universal date format of yyyy-MM-dd to be used by everyone. Even on your EU2K web pages.

Check Ed Yourdon's website for this issue. He has a power point presentation on there that goes into this issue in great detail. Ed makes the case for an International Standards process to define this universal format. It's more than a 4 digit problem when you consider areas of science that needs to track time across millions or billions of years.Jim
